Morning pt england! And a big event happening this year is called the 2024 Olympics. The Olympics are only held every 4 years so this is a big event. This big event opened on friday 26 july and the closing will take place on sunday 11 august. One of the games (Volleyball) is played/located in front of the eiffel tower.
There will be plenty of traditional Olympic sports such as athletics, swimming, rowing, and cycling as well as gymnastics.
We will learn about Simione Biles (an american gymnast). Simione joins the gymnastics team for the summer 2024 Olympics and is very popular due to her flexibility, strength and stamina. She won many gold medals and yet won another one. It was kinda an emotional win for Simione Biles but everyone knew she managed. She now has six Olympic gold medals, with nine Olympic medals in total. Bye!
